Thriving in Kindergarten<\/a><\/p>\n

READY, SET,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>K<\/span><\/span>INDERGARTEN<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Ready, Set\u00a0<\/span>K<\/span>indergarten<\/span><\/b>\u00a0is a \u201cway of welcoming\u201d our\u00a0<\/span>new<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>K<\/span>indergarten\u00a0<\/span>students<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in May\/June 2023, that allows them to connect to people, to their environment and to playful learning\u00a0<\/b>with a sense of curiosity and joyful anticipation of their future school community. Each child will receive a book and a bag of materials.\u00a0<\/span>Families will be contacted directly by your principal\/<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/span>K<\/span><\/u><\/i><\/b><\/span>indergarten teachers via a letter\/email with specific times for your child\u2019s Ready, Set<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>K<\/span><\/u><\/i><\/b><\/span>indergarten event. This event usually takes place in late May or June.<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

K<\/span><\/span>INDERGARTEN GRADUAL ENTRY<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Gradual Entry\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b>into\u00a0<\/span>K<\/span>indergarten provides children with a smoother transition as they make the adjustment into a full day of school.\u00a0<\/span>K<\/span>indergarten children will be welcomed into their\u00a0<\/span>new<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>school at the beginning of September <\/b>by their classroom teachers in small groups and for shorter periods of time, gradually increasing their time to a full day with the whole class in attendance.\u00a0<\/span>Students<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>will have the opportunity to get to\u00a0<\/span>k<\/span>now their teacher as well as some classmates, classroom routines and meet staff from the school.\u00a0<\/span>You will be contacted directly by your principal\/<\/u><\/i><\/span>K<\/span><\/u><\/i><\/span>indergarten teacher via a letter\/email with assigned attendance dates and specific times for your child\u2019s gradual entry for September.<\/u><\/i><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
